During this intake Springfield School have spearheaded a pilot scheme to bring some of their reception children directly to the pools during term time. Sam Cooper, deputy head spoke to us about the possibility as the children had little ability to get to Les Ormes. Reception Teacher, Jacqui Boirgiose, and the caretaker bring the children up every Friday morning to receive their lessons. This has lead to just under ten schools taking up the offer for the September 2007 term, either, using our free minibus service or their own transport.

Following a successful start the first swimmers of this years intake have nearly completed their ten free sessions with Le Mourier.
I am pleased to say that they all have come on tremendously, especially those very nervous ones who found the water very daunting at first. I am delighted to say that they can now move about freely in the water and have found swimming to be something they can enjoy. I do hope they keep it up!!!
